You're stupid la stupid

Many people that i knowing has a very good English. Even though mine English is not perfect, I think it is important for me practicing my language. Because nowadays, everyone understand that English is needed as a meen of communication.

So I will tried my best to write in english. Oh, and before that I want to sorry because every time I try to write in BI, my words and essay will becomes less interesting. Soo sorry okay.

Erk, suddenly i have no more opinion about what i should writing in this entry. I know, this entry will make you became very boring, but I hope everyone can give me feedback. I am trying very hard this time.

Babai.

Sambung:
Kekadang, orang cakap yang English ni penting. Bagi aku...

Well, memang penting pun. Tapi aku rasa, kalaupun English kita tak sehebat  mana, kita tak yah la nak malu. English bukan la segalanya.

Meh sini, aku bedok sikit kepala korang. Yang korang nak malu, apasal. Tengok aku, lepak je. Korang bawak-bawak la pikir camni ek "eleh, orang putih tu cuma fasih 1 bahasa je, aku lagi hebat. Fasih 1 perpuluhan dua lima bahasa" (satu = BM, 0.25 = BI).

Cuba korang tengok karangan aku kat atas.

Ni idak, tiap kali keluar nasihat je, humang mak ai. Sikit punya busuk korang punya mulut, cam longkang. Ada orang tu kasi 'nasihat' lebih kurang camni "Your blog is crap. None of the sentences make sense. You should stop blogging your dumbass". Haa, mangkuk jenis ni memang aku angin kalau aku jumpa.

Haish, tenuk betul diorang tu yerr. Nak je, aku suruh Sathia (pi mai tang tu) datang, then buat "Chreeet" kat korang. Sembur air sirih kaler merah dia kat baju korang. Baru korang tahu horror tak horror nya aku. Muahahaha. Apa Pendapat korang?

avatar for me english knwledge is very imprtnt.
coz our country alwys get tourst from
overseas.
if we as a malaysian can't speak english it can make we
embrrass.
now everythng we wnt to do also must have english knwldge.
so for me
it very2 imprtnt.
plainjane   |2009-03-04 20:53:24
avatar yep.. english penting.. aku pernah kejer promoter.. english mmg terabur. bila
ckap ngan tourist jer ngalahkan orang gagap. but tourist tu senyum jer n faham
apa yang aku cakap. asalkan point yang kita nak cakapkan sampai kat dorang,
dorang ok kot.
klu korang rasa english xpenting, kejer korang xder la bercakap
dalam english. cuba fikir, tetiba tgh korang tunggu bas/ tren dtg tourist tanya
kita nak gi sesuatu tmpt tu. yang kita tahu cuma yes, no, left, right
jer,..bukan ke masalah? biar berterabur english kita asalkan tourist tu faham
oklah. buat apa nak malu.

avatar i agree with practice makes perfect.

i talk to my malay friends in bm and they
talk to me in english.

kalau saya tak betul, dia betulkan. kalau dia tak betul,
saya betulkan. itu pun kalau saya tahu.

not only he/she learns, i also get to
learn in return as i may not know everything.

saya kekadang cakap bm memang
pelat, cakap mandarin pun sama, but they never laugh but instead they help me.

it's just that english becomes a means of communication when you
get tourists to our country.

abaikan mereka yang merendahkan kita. as long as
we know what we are doing.

sebabkan kita discuss pasal bahasa inggeris, people make such a big fuss about
it. Cuba kita fikir, kalau kawan kita cakap german or french, and diorang sebut
salah. Ada orang bising2 sangat ke? Orang tak cakap apa pun. Orang masih
menggagumi kebolehan diorang untuk berbahasa asing. Tapi kalau bahasa Inggeris,
orang salah sebut sikit. mesti kene kutuk laa, kena panggil poyo la. tak paham
lah

avatar First off, thanks for all the responses.

Let me clarify one thing, that entry
was written quite a while ago. And when i wrote that entry, my sole purpose was
to encourage people with a so-so English to not feel intimidated with others,
and start practicing the language. I believe, language acquisition is best done
through frequent practice.

When i wrote that, never in my mind did I want to
belittle the language, nor did i want to bash other fellow proficient English
speakers, it's just that my friend who has poor command of English has been
bombarded with messages from strangers on her blog. And obviously, those who has
attacked her were very proud with their English, that they actually forgotten
that they're others that aren't as good as them. And instead of giving
constructive feedback, they chose to be destructive instead. This is, IMO, an...
mnorhelmi_razali  - A response from the original entry writer 2   |2009-03-03 13:30:05
avatar This is, IMO, an ugly attitude that many of Malaysians have.

Also, it is the
same for the otherwise. People tend to label those with good English as those
who have forgotten their root. OR mat saleh celup. Come on, how more narrow
minded people can be.

and about speaking with accent. I don't really think it
matters to me. I mean, whenever I speak to the British here (I'm currently
studying in the UK), I'd rather use my British slang/pronunciation, because i
found it hard for them to understand my Malaysian English. If you get what i
mean. They don't really seem to matter about this, yet, it seems to matter to
many other Malaysian. When did it become, that if you're a Malaysian, you have
to speak Malaysian English??

aiwa9   |2009-03-03 06:59:33
avatar in my opinion, x salah ckp kalau salah. dr mistake la kita belajar. yg penting =
berani. kalau takut n x praktis, smpai bila x makin pandai, btul x?
Maisarah Ismail  - bodoh!   |2009-03-03 06:02:19
kalau dah tak reti cakap tu, tak payah lah cakap. Buat rosak bahasa je.
Anon   |2009-03-03 05:55:47
lah.

yes, kadang-kadang people tries too hard to speak in english, along with
the accent. tapi calling them pathetic is unfair. Having accent is not a
problem, although grammar is kindda off. Mungkin diorang belajar dari TV
british, tu yg diorang pick up accent tu
anash   |2009-03-03 01:46:16

I've had my fair share of Malays (and I don't mean to offend you guys)
discriminating me for speaking in English with them. They would constantly say
I'm "poyo" or "bajet speaking" behind my back. Yes, I am a
Malay, inside and out, but I was raised in a household where my parents (and my
extended family members, in fact) speaks in English most of the time. It's not
my fault that I can't seem to score an A in Bahasa Melayu.

I don't have any
slangs when I speak in English. I don't think I make up a slang, in fact. But
what annoys me the most is when Malays who really can't speak proper English,
start speaking with me in English with a fake British or American slang.
Personally, I feel that is pathetic.

When blogging, my medium is English and
I feel comfortable writing in English. On the other hand, I speak Malay with
most of my friends all the time.

I feel English is important. As long as you
don't f...

bahasa apapun jika nak menguasai kena rajin praktis.. ye la..memangla tak tere
gila english boleh survive...tapi, dr sudut pendidikan memang sepatutnya kita ni
fasih berbahasa inggeris...takpun sekurang kurangnya grammar biarla tepat.

bukan apa...kita hidup berdasarkan persepsi...kalau nak bercakap pun macam
kita susah nak paham ja...mcm mana kita nak impress orang lain...bos kita
ataupun customer? cth mudahla...kenapa bila nak pergi meminang anak dara
orang...tetiba kita pakai baju cantik2, wangi2...sedangkan reality nya
hampeh...sebab kita ni hidup berdasarkan persepsi...kalau kita pergi meminang
bau kita lebih kurang ayam belaan kita...memang sure dan yakin la pinangan kita
tu ditolak mentah-mentah...inilah dinamakan persepsi..persepsi yang mengiyakan
kononnya kita ni memang spesis wangi dan kemas...

Well they say PRACTICE MAKES PREFECT
Ignore those negative comments that were
passed to you. If you don't practice you will not master the skill. In my
prespective point of view, English is important should you need to upgrade
yourself in terms of promotion wise or to seek career advancement. Walau apa pun
Good Luck
Hitori de   |2009-02-11 21:16:56
sokong english sgt ptg. tu p0ng tgk la pd keadaan. jgn ar smpi tlebih english dr

Anon  - sokong sikit2   |2009-02-09 23:56:37
kalau orang tu cakap BI tapi berterabur, memang kadang2 annoying. Rasa macam dia
nk berlagak and bajet mat saleh pun ada.

drebartaxi   |2009-02-09 08:49:03
sedangkan seorang drebartaxi pun kalo tak pandai dlm english...susah kalo ada
tourist yg nak guna perkhidmatan!
bukan soal bahasa, tapi
soalnya....demand.
